This rock-art about TE REREKA WAIRUA O POURAKAHUA: Created and performed by Jeffrey Addison puppet musical was modified as an on-line interactive e-Audiobook for the Ministry of Education in 2018, and has now been formatted being a 70 minute, 6-chapter audiobook i te reo K?i Tahu, my tribal dialect. The story is about Pourakahua, who’s transformed right into a heart parrot that flies to Aotearoa, New Zealand searching for her very own kind. In my interpretation, she flies up the ?pihi river, meeting a host of colourful animals living in caves and limestone rock shelters, pursued by a bevy of bird-hunters.
