Summary:
Whilst sightseeing in Paris, 1979, the physician and Romana see some unexplained temporal disturbances. Whenever a visit to the Louvre lands them in warm water, they realise a certain Count Scarlioni understands even more about advanced technology than a 20th Century Parisian should. With Uk detective Duggan in tow, the time tourists become embroiled in an audacious plot to take the Mona Lisa and sell it for the open market. Not just that, but Count number Scarlioni appears to have more da Vinci masterpieces at his disposal – each one evidently genuine. What time experiment is definitely Scarlioni forcing a genius professor to undertake? What’s behind his suave persona, and what exactly are his programs for not merely Paris but the whole world? The Doctor and his close friends must uncover the answers before period itself runs out. Lalla Ward narrates this classic TV experience, and in an exclusive reward interview she recalls her time as Romana in the BBC TV series.
