Celeb Alan Ladd played Dan Holiday, retired newspaperman turned fiction article writer and adventurer extraordinaire. To get tips for his books, Holiday placed an advertisement in the Star-Times paper ‘Adventure needed – goes anywhere, do anything – Package Thirteen.’ It wasn’t long before his Container Thirteen became jammed with escapades galore. Holiday generally had more experience than he had originally sought, because those that taken care of immediately his ad never revealed all their glorious, unusual, and about Package Thirteen, Collection 2 occasionally sinister details until they met personally and the experience had already started. Silvia Picker played Holiday’s scatter-brained secretary, Suzy. Suzy added touches of humor to the mystery-adventure and nail-biting storylines. Container Thirteen was produced by Mayfair Productions, a business run by Alan Ladd and Richard Sandville. The name originated from Mayfair Restaurant, which Ladd and Sandville possessed during WWII. Furthermore to producing Container Thirteen, Ladd also had written a number of the scripts.
